The present article aims at focusing all psychosomatic question phrough both phenomenological-existential and Gestalt approaches. It begins with Descartes mechanicist paradigm concept, its dichotmy about men and also its influence on the production of a biomedical model which understands the body as a machine. Furthermore, Martin Heidegger’s and Medard Boss’s concepts are dealt with as critical views of the duality soma x psique. To conclude, an analysis of Fritz Perls Gestalt-terapy pespective is presented, which related to the existential-fenomenology states the necessity of a holistic comprehension of men in his wold.
