This article intends to make a brief history of family therapy. I begin with a contextualization of the historical moment in wich it appears and it main theoretical basis. Then describe their key moments, the cybernetics oh the first and second order, with their characteristics. Finally, I return to the first research that gave early family therapy and how they unfolded in the various streams systemic currently exist.
