The constant growth in contemporary marital relations covers as a feature of the spouse individuality maintenance, preponderant in the establishment of couples’ emotional ties. In search of new factors that keep a satisfying marriage, this study will investigate differences and similarities about marital satisfaction from the perspective of short-term couples. The research explored the contribution of Gestalt-therapy in marital relations, using the qualitative phenomenological method through the “Snowball’’ technique and the semi-structured interview. Six attendees were interviewed, in other words, 03 couples who are married from 6 months to 5 years, between 20 and 45 years old, residents of Grande Vitória region, Espírito Santo. The results indicate that the attendees are living in a satisfying marriage, which the main features of this satisfaction are the construction of links, companionship, union, cohesion and the progress of the couple.
