Resumen

Objective:

To describe the produced knowledge in the literature about children with ASD in the Gestalt-therapy Perspective.

Methodology:

Integrative review, performed from march to june 2017, in PePSIC, SciELO) and LILACS; in books about Gestalt-theory published in Brazil and in the “IGT na Rede”, with descriptors: Gestat and child; autism and Gestalt; and infantil psychotherapy.

Results and Discussion:

Characteristics of the therapeutic relationship with the child with TEA: secure support; surrend of the psychotherapist; the aid to the parents and caretakers who will understand the child; and the congruence of the therapist. Psychotherapies interventions: psychoeducational activities; family orientation; activities aiming to the language development; multidisciplinary teamwork; encouragement of psychological support for the family; psychological evaluation; sensory activities. About way of play, it were identified repetitive and stereotyped behaviors.

Final Conclusions:

The gestaltic approach instrumentalize to comprehend, to interact and to aid the child. Even with the suspicion or diagnosis of ASD, each child is singular.
