This article aims to analyze the perspective of health contribution advocated by Gestalt-Therapy, that was significant through contact health processes and resistance mechanisms. These concepts were observed respecting the phenomenological vision defended by the approach and the perception of man in constant interaction with the environment. The process between adjustment of resistance and disadvantage in the organism and expansion of contact functions is completed. Here, the Methodology, database of article queries, is responsible. As a result, it was possible to describe the concept of health from a Gestalt perspective and recognize resistance mechanisms in their multiple roles. The main objective of this article is to present the health vision of Gestalt Therapy based on the understanding of the contact process and resistance mechanisms. It is believed that this will expand the studies of the approach and will also serve as a resource for diagnostic understanding in the clinical practice of Gestalt therapists.
