LOURENCO, Giovanna Aversani    SANTOS, Evilin Roumaine Dutra. Gestalt therapy and children’s rhythmic gymnastics training groups: a narrative review. IGT rede []. 2023, 20, 39, pp.195-226.   20--2025. ISSN 1807-2526.  https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.15149858.

The study is a narrative literature review on the construction of subjectivity in children, creativity and sports practices in rhythmic gymnastics to promote health, from the perspective of Gestalt therapy. Using databases such as Google Scholar, Pepsic, and Scielo, articles, books, and book chapters published in the last thirty years in Portuguese, English, and Spanish were analyzed. Out of the initial 234 records, only 29 were selected for analysis, highlighting the potential application of Gestalt therapy in Sports Psychology, especially in activities that emphasize creativity, authenticity, and spontaneity, such as rhythmic gymnastics. Sport as a field for the construction of subjectivity is relevant in the development of creativity and health in childhood. Additionally, this article aimed to identify when a child ceases to be healthy and explore possibilities to transform the sports environment into a welcoming space, where gymnasts can evolve into adults without rigid behaviors, but rather as diverse individuals seeking the fullness of being what they can be.
