CUNHA, Felipe Augusto and BAPTISTA, Makilim Nunes. Integrative review of instruments of depressive cognitive distortions. Rev. bras.ter. cogn. [online]. 2017, vol.13, n.1, pp.64-73. ISSN 1808-5687. https://doi.org/10.5935/1808-5687.20170010.
The objective of this research was to identify and analyze studies that used instruments for the evaluation of depressive cognitive distortions in Brazil and in the world. An integrative review was performed on the Scielo and Psycinfo databases with defined inclusion and exclusion criteria, between 2007 and 2017. There were 1.840 articles, of which only 15 studies were included in the interpretative synthesis. Among the main results, few instruments actually evaluated cognitive distortions, such as Cognitive Errors Questionnaire (CEQ), Cognitive Triad Inventory (CTI), Cognitive Escape Scale (DCS), Cognitive Escape Scale (CES) and The How I Think Questionnaire (HIT-Q). The constructs that appeared most associated with the studies were, depression, beliefs and negative automatic thoughts; occurring in considerably large samples of both sexes; mostly university and clinical groups. The year with the greatest number of publications was 2012. Because it was a little researched subject, this interfered in the amount of publications in a general way. Considering the journals in particular, there was no significant predominance and great repetition of publication in journals. Most of the articles focused on the psychometric properties of the instruments, considered an important point for advancement in the field of psychology and research.
