Early maladaptive schemas (EMS) are dysfunctional patterns of functioning that originate in family relationships formed in childhood/adolescence. Family support refers to the perceived quality of intra-family relationships and the support received. Therefore, depending on the schemas activated, family support can be perceived as more or less dysfunctional. Family environment and EIDs can negatively impact well-being. This article aimed to test relationships between EMS, perceived family support and well-being. To this end, a questionnaire containing the Perceived Family Support Inventory (IPSF), the Young Schema Questionnaire (YSQ-S2) and the PERMA-Profiler Scale was used. The study consists of a sample of 171 participants, with an average age of 26.1 years and the majority of them being women (82.5%). EMS are negatively correlated with well-being and family support. Well-being and family support are positively associated with each other. The regression analysis showed that well-being can be explained based on the other constructs. The results obtained are in line with the literature, which suggests the importance of the relationships between all the constructs studied. However, it is necessary to replicate the study in a larger sample in order to obtain significant results.
