Emergency Psychology is a response to tragedies and studies the impacts on human subjectivity. The objective was to identify mental health and psychosocial care interventions for disaster response. A systematic review was carried out between June/2021 and June/2024, of the last 13 years of publication, in the following databases: MedLine Ovid, LILACS, Cochrane, Embase and PsyncInfo, whose target population was individuals affected by disasters and their emergencies, using the PICOS acronym for developing the search strategy. 11 studies were selected. The most prevalent interventions were: Psychological First Aid (PSP), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Crisis Intervention Teams (KIT). Evidence was moderated for: PSP, CBT, radio, stepped care, educational websites, video telepsychotherapy and positive psychology. It was concluded that there are consolidated psychosocial support and mental health interventions for disaster situations that can be applied in diverse scenarios, being adaptive and technological actions, and can be conducted by mental health professionals or trained agents, with short, medium and long term applicability. long term, favoring culture and local actors for better community preservation and reconstruction.
