There is an international mental health crisis in graduate education. One of the factors proposed as a determinant of this crisis is the high level of perfectionism among graduates, which is associated with a higher prevalence of psychological distress. Interventions based on cognitive-behavioral therapy have been shown to be effective in reducing levels of perfectionism and psychological distress among adults and graduate students. Thus, this study aimed to construct and investigate the content validity of an intervention protocol in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for perfectionism in the online, synchronous and group modality for Brazilian graduate students. An intervention program was produced with eight weekly modules lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes per meeting. Two support materials were produced, a Therapist’s Guide and a Participant’s Guide, which were assessed by four expert judges for clarity, relevance and appropriateness of the content proposed for each module. The content validity coefficient was calculated, which indicated a satisfactory level of agreement between the judges. The protocol produced is a clinical tool with great interventional potential, especially considering the high prevalence of psychological distress in the target population.
