Bipolar Disorder is characterized as a chronic mood disorder that, when not properly treated, can cause significant disability, profoundly affecting the lives of approximately 140 million people worldwide. However, the actual number of diagnoses may be underestimated due to the high occurrence of diagnostic errors, significantly impacting patients prognoses. Diagnosing Bipolar Disorder requires a meticulous assessment that considers neurochemical, cognitive, psychological, behavioral, and socioeconomic aspects. Given the complexity of this disorder, the present study aims to develop a reliable psychometric questionnaire to assess the level of knowledge among psychology students. The goal is not only to guide students but also to enhance their clinical expertise. The construction of the instrument will be based on a rigorous content analysis, followed by validation by expert judges, ensuring that it is accurate and reliable when evaluating knowledge regarding the peculiarities of Bipolar Disorder.
