This article aims to highlight the important role of art, especially literature, as an expression. and understanding of subjectivity. The methodology is based on Hans-Georg Gadamer's philosophical hermeneutics, considering his phylosophy sees the aesthetic experience as an ontological and genuine experience of truth and, consequently, lauches a critics to the modern subjectivity idea so that it might be redesign by a dialogical relation. For that, it is performed through hermeneutic application an interpretation of the book Agua viva by Clarice Lispector, since its story depicts the literatura or art made by poetic word as an intersubjective and genuine experience of truth, updated in time and full of meaning.
