Rights in Brazil, the author points out the importance and the need for a more effective preventive action of the State, through public policies, as well as that of the civil society to face these social problems. She also highlights the relevance of a possible contribution of Psychology and psychologists and finishes her work by suggesting changes in the curricula of Brazilian undergraduate Psychology courses towards a professional performance that is more committed to Human Rights.
