The aim of this study is to evaluate the quality of security service offered by the Military Police according to owners and employees of commerce in the North Lake, a high-medium-class neighborhood, in Brasília, Brazil. There were 100 respondents to a questionnaire. To evaluate the police service, the participants were divided in two groups: people who already received assistance from the police and could evaluate them, and those who had never received police services but described how they felt it should be if they ever needed this service. The data show that despite the two groups evaluated the police service in a positive way, many improvements were needed. These include an increase in the number of policemen and an improvement in the quality of night policing.
