Abstract

KOCH, Cristiane  and  MOSMANN, Clarisse Pereira. Restorative practices: perceptions about the experience of MP/RS of transformation of conflicts and social actors. Gerais, Rev. Interinst. Psicol. [online]. 2021, vol.14, n.3, e16924.  Epub Jan 20, 2025. ISSN 1983-8220.  https://doi.org/10.36298/gerais2021142e16924.

Offences at school affect multiple levels, going beyond its walls to retributive justice. The decline of this punitive model gives rise to restorative practices – a means of transforming conflicts. This study proposes to identify the theoretical-legal bases of the constructs and describe the perceptions and the data obtained from following a project of the Brazilian Public Ministry (MP) on school violence. For this purpose, the following axes were observed: legal evolution – from ECA to Res. 225/2016, which encompasses restorative practices; description of values, principles and procedures of practices; and the experience report. The results verified in the instruments and in a different context – project of the MP on school violence – reveal a growing involvement of young girls in crimes and that these practices are related to co-responsibility and the empowerment of all. The expansion of the debate on this new dialogic paradigm is made evident.

Keywords : adolescents in conflict with the law; peacebuilding circles; restorative justice.
