Considering the specificities of visual impairment and the importance of maintaining equity in evaluation processes, this article aimed to draw a prospect of the psychological evaluation directed to the visually impaired population. Throughout the article, we tried to present the possibilities and proposals of evaluation for this population, focusing on the way the professional can perform the evaluation. After that, the article also presents the main challenges of the area regarding the use of psychological instruments for a specific purpose, outlining the main gaps and the relevance of future research. The article is expected to contribute to the psychological evaluation area, stimulating new researchers and assisting professionals with the specific demands to be considered during the evaluation processes for this population.
