The growing and alarming rate of lethality among the youth in Brazil is a phenomenon that demands the articulation of the system of protection and the implementation of effective public policies, capable of coping with this reality. In this paper, we discuss the role of the judiciary’s psychology technical team in the process of inserting an adolescent in the Program for the Protection of Children and Adolescents Threatened with Death (PPCAAM) as an exceptional strategy adopted by a juvenile court for social reintegration of a threatened youth in a new location, making a case study. We noticed how much this youth life was affected by institutional violations that culminated in death risk. We noted that the structural violence in which the youth is inserted deprives their rights and places their lives at risk.
