Resumen

BARROS, João Paulo Pereira et al. “It was salt”: psychology and reflections on experiences of extension actions with young people. Gerais, Rev. Interinst. Psicol. [online]. 2022, vol.15, n.2, e17950.  Epub 20-Ene-2025. ISSN 1983-8220.  https://doi.org/10.36298/gerais202215e17950.

Juvenile black segments have been the main target of a process of intensification and “nordestinação” of lethal violence, with the state of Ceará as an example. This article aims to reflect on this phenomenon and the possibilities of Psychology in contexts of violence from experiences of three extension projects carried out in 2018, in peripheral territorialities of the capital of Ceará. The experiences focused on dynamics of social exclusion and processes of subjectivation concerning the child and youth segments, and psychosocial aspects related to conflicts and violence. We traced reflections based on dialogues with Butler, Mbembe, and Foucault, pointing out how Psychology can problematize, in times of necropolitics and of maximization of the precarious condition of certain existences, the production of juvenile segments as lives that are killable and undeserving of mourning.
