This study aimed to adapt and gather preliminary evidence of the construct and criteria validity of the Relational Aggression Subscale. To gather evidence of construct validity, 140 high school students from a public school in a city in Midwest Brazil, aged 14 to 18 years (mean = 15.66, SD = 0.08) participated in the study. Furthermore, a second sample of 80 university students from different states, aged from 22 to 38 years (mean = 22.88, SD = 0.47), was used to gather evidence of criteria validity. Participants answered the following instruments: (1) Sociodemographic questionnaire and (2) Relational Aggression Subscale. The results were analyzed using SPSS (V.24) and executable Factor (v.10.8.02). The Exploratory Factorial Analysis (EFA) identified a single-factorial structure with good reliability (α = 0, 72), composed of six items. Evidence of criteria validity concerning the sample profile was also found. The data indicated that the Relational Aggression Subscale shows evidence of psychometric adequacy for the Brazilian context.
