Constructionist research is a viable alternative for people who want a different form of science to that proposed by hegemonic positivist research. Social Constructionism is based on the following propositions: non-essentiality; historical and cultural specificity of knowledge; language as a form of social action; focus on social practices and interactions; and focus on processes. This article aims to present the Story/Dialogue Method and the Reflection Groups as case studies in methodological strategies for producing information, using the group process, which is focused on collective senses and meanings, indicating, for this, potentialities, and constraints. This process was guided by two experiences carried out in a master’s research in Psychology, which also helped us reflect on the possibility of constructionist methodologies in dialogue with feminist epistemologies.
