The goal of this paper is to discuss the possible dimension of radio, conceived as a way to communicate, ethical and political context of the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform, from my experience in a radio workshop a Community Center. From the movement of the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform, based on a complex process of social transformation that has sought redirect the care model to mental suffering for the territorial services, and on the other, fight the prejudiced view of society with their differences, it is observed that the rescue theme of social rights historically denied to persons confined for decades in the asylums, above all, the right to liberty and communication are the movement's bases. In this sense, invent new devices that allow access to the media against hegemonic, that enable new ways to communicate and express themselves, are subjects of interest of public mental health policies in Brazil.
