ROCHA, Raoni; PISTOLATO, Leonardo e DINIZ, Eugênio Paceli Hatem. Precarization of work disguised as modernity: an analysis of the work of delivery drivers. Rev. Psicol., Organ. Trab. [online]. 2021, vol.21, n.4, pp.1681-1689. ISSN 1984-6657. https://doi.org/10.5935/rpot/2021.4.22227.
The work of delivery drivers has undergone intense changes in recent decades and the so-called "uberized" work, mediated by application platforms, has absorbed millions of workers around the world. This scenario justifies the need to better understand this type of work, although the social distancing caused by the new coronavirus makes the challenge even greater, as it restricts the researcher's presence in the field. Therefore, the objective of this current research is to analyze the characteristics of the existing work relationships between delivery companies and the couriers. Task analysis - a methodological stage of ergonomic work analysis - was carried out with 15 delivery people, aiming to offer an alternative methodological proposal in moments of social distancing. The results reveal the existence of behavior profiles subjected to precariousness, as well as the strategy, by the platform-companies, to cross this with the rhetoric of the need to modernize work.
