Abstract

OLIVEIRA, Thiago Aguiar de; PEREZ-NEBRA, Amalia Raquel  and  TORDERA, Núria. Human Resource Practices in Brazil: A Systematic Review. Rev. Psicol., Organ. Trab. [online]. 2022, vol.22, n.4, pp.2279-2288.  Epub Dec 02, 2024. ISSN 1984-6657.  https://doi.org/10.5935/rpot/2022.4.24534.

The human resource management area is a differential for the achievement of results. Its practice drives the organizational development process. The aim of this paper was to conduct a systematic review of empirical studies of human resource management practices (HRMP) in the Brazilian context based on the following axis: theoretical perspectives, conceptualizations, operationalizations, and HR systems. The PRISMA method was applied in the EBSCO Host, Periódicos CAPES, Scielo, and Pepsic databases. Twenty three empirical studies were found. The results suggested a lack of clear theoretical perspectives and of consistency in the definitions. There is predominance of quantitative methods, and sparse investigation of the systemic relationships of HRMP. A need was identified for strengthening theoretical aspects and broadening operational perspectives. In the discussion, recommendations for a research agenda were given.

Keywords : human resource management practices; performance; well-being; human resource.
