Abstract

SOUZA, Diely Fátima  and  VECCHIA, Marcelo Dalla. Psychological Interventions in Alcoholism at Work: Scoping Review. Rev. Psicol., Organ. Trab. [online]. 2023, vol.23, n.2, pp.2461-2470.  Epub Nov 29, 2024. ISSN 1984-6657.  https://doi.org/10.5935/rpot/2023.2.24263.

The high prevalence of alcoholism in the context of work in Brazil brings challenges to the inclusion of psychologists in the field of workers' health. Aiming to contribute in this direction, the aim was to identify and analyze research and intervention actions carried out by psychologists in the face of alcoholism in work contexts. A social psychology of work-based scope review was carried out according to the PRISMA-ScR recommendation, with an analysis of the 11 included publications. Prevention activities are scarce and such initiatives have originated in universities. Interventions that stem from the diagnosis of alcoholism were predominantly aimed towards abstinence from alcohol and had a well-defined structure. The importance of reflecting on the performance of psychologists regarding their work in relation to alcoholism at work is argued through the creation of dialogical spaces and the encouragement of scientific production.

Keywords : alcoholism; psychologists' performance; work.
