CARLOTTO, Mary Sandra; CAMARA, Sheila Gonçalves  e  DIEHL, Liciane. Construction and Evidence of Validity of the Intention to Leave Job Scale among Teachers (ILJS). Rev. Psicol., Organ. Trab. [online]. 2023, vol.23, n.2, pp.2511-2517.  Epub 29-Nov-2024. ISSN 1984-6657.  https://doi.org/10.5935/rpot/2023.2.23601.

The Intention to Leave Job scale (ILJS) was designed to assess the intention to leave work in general, and specifically, the intention to leave a profession (ICP) and institution (ICI). This article describes the construction process and the evidence of the validity of the EIAT among Brazilian teachers. The developed scale was applied to 1,284 teachers, together with a questionnaire of sociodemographic and labor data. The exploratory factor analysis identified two factors corresponding to the two theoretically defined dimensions. These results were corroborated by the confirmatory factor analysis, with which a model with nine items and two dimensions was obtained, which achieved good adequacy and fit indices: χ2 = 55,190; gl = 26; TLI = 0.98; CFI = 0.99; RMSEA = 0.04 (0.02-0.06). Regarding reliability, McDonald's Cronbach's alpha and Omega values were satisfactory: a = 0.81 and ωt = 0.79 (ICP) e α = 0.86 and ωt = 0.87 (ICI). The ILJS contributes to a more careful evaluation of the intention to leave work.
