This article analyzes the discourse of emotional dependence and to what extent it interferes in the face of political violence committed against women. It made a historical course of legal developments and a literature search on the discourses that often try to justify why many women do not seek the criminal justice system and often end up producing stigmas about women, which makes the process of empowerment and recognition of women's citizenship.
