The present study aims to understand from the bioecological perspective the different experiences of violence and its repercussions for the life of Antonia. This is a case study, aimed at investigating a phenomenon in depth. The transcribed data were obtained through a semi-structured interview. For the discussion of the case study the theoretical-methodological contribution of the contributions of the bioecological model of human development of Urie Bronfenbrenner was used. In this work it was verified that Antônia experienced several forms of intrafamily violence, in the different stages of its development. The repercussions of these experiences were related to sexual and reproductive health, and to mental suffering, with the onset of symptoms of posttraumatic stress.
