Integrative and complementary practices - ICPs involve approaches that act in the prevention of health problems, promotion, maintenance and recovery. They are based on attention models that emphasize welcoming listening, the development of a therapeutic bond and the integration of the human being with the environment and society, characteristics in tune with the Psychiatric Reform and antimanicomial thinking. In this article we narrate the experience with two of these practices - Integrative Community Therapy and Circular Dances, in two Psychosocial Care Centers - CAPS of the metropolitan region of Belém, with the objective of reporting on the implications of these experiences on the users' experience in the spaces. caution. Work with mental health ICPs is a viable possibility of intervention and has good adherence of users and their families. It is also a possibility of expandingaffective exchanges, producing life, transforming the way one deals with adversity in the face of the experience of psychic suffering.
