Resumen

BRAGA, José Olinda. Husserlian meditations on Phenomenological Psychology, writings from 1925, paragraphs 5 and 6 - implications for humanistic psychotherapeutic approaches. Rev. NUFEN [online]. 2024, vol.16, e252962.  Epub 25-Nov-2024. ISSN 2175-2591.  https://doi.org/10.26823/rnufen.v16i01.25296.

This article aims to demonstrate the need for in-depth research into what constitutes Phenomenological Psychology, in light of the philosophical reflections of Edmund Husserl who, in 1925, giving his summer lessons, presented the historical demands and structuring conditions for the construction of a psychology constituted under the rigor of its method, overcoming the naturalistic and positive psychology of the time. Historically, the heirs of humanist approaches, in particular Fritz Perls’ Gestalt-Therapy and Carl Rogers’ Person-Centered Approach, deepen and update their legacies under the sign of phenomenological parameters, most of the time in a precarious way, precisely due to the difficulty of reach of these Husserlian writings that recently began to be published in portuguese for Brazil. The basic text relating to the reflections of Edmund Husserl was his work Psychologie Phénoménologique (1925-1928), which contains writings from the summer of 1925, as well as various productions of the humanist movements relating to psychotherapy and its approaches. Throughout these investigations and epistemological confrontations, it is hoped that we will finally be able to define more precisely how many and what are the similarities and differences between humanistic psychotherapeutic approaches, in relation to Edmund Husserl’s phenomenological method.
