The article discusses convergences between the phenomenological attitude and the clinical attitude of psychiatrist Nise da Silveira at Hospital Pedro II. As a path to the proposal, a phenomenology of the clinical interventions of Nise da Silveira was carried out, showing the approaches observed with the Husserlian phenomenological attitude. To this end, studies in the scientific literature that described Nise da Silveira’s working method were surveyed, addressing artistic expression and Human-Animal Interaction. Afterwards, there was an analysis of the texts and systematization of the evidence that pointed out the approximations and distances. The research allowed us to know how the psychiatrist conducted her criticism of the naturalization of mental illness and human care, raising reflections that show the clinical space as based on trust between psychologist and client, highlighting the importance of a prioris and opening to new horizons.
