DANTAS, Jurema Barros y SOUZA FILHO, José Alves de. Loneliness in times of Crowds: contemporary reflections. Rev. NUFEN [online]. 2025, vol.17, n.spe1, e-269108. Epub 19-Dic-2025. ISSN 2175-2591. https://doi.org/10.26823/rnufen.v17i1.26209.
The objective of this essay is to think about the phenomenon of loneliness in current times from the approach with phenomenologically inspired authors who point to it as a constitutive dimension of human existence. In times of technological advances that expand possibilities of being and being in the world, it seems fundamental to us to understand such a condition of vulnerability and adherence to the condition of loneliness as a process of isolation, sometimes crossed by looks of illness. The approach of loneliness as a problem to be treated or as a nosological condition that requires intervention seems to be a mark of contemporaneity. Away from this path, the present essay brings to the fore a way of thinking about loneliness considering the ontological human condition of being co-originally with the other.
