Abstract
TATIT, Isabel and ROSA, Miriam Debieux. So that it may not be said that Freud and Lacan did not speak about loneliness. Rev. Psicol. Saúde [online]. 2013, vol.5, n.2, pp.136-146. ISSN 2177-093X.
This work emerged from impasses arising in clinical care in private practice following a psychoanalytic approach. Our listening also evidenced the presence of an intense imaginarization and inflation of a self-sufficiency discourse associated with this difficulty. In this sense, we believe it is important to assign greater weight to a signifier often responsible for the possibility of flexibility in the self-sufficiency discourse: the signifier of loneliness. Thus, when presented as a counterpoint to the dominant discourse, loneliness can be an expression of the subject's uniqueness and, from the standpoint of psychoanalysis, an ethical experience. This work intends to give basis for this reflection through a revision in Freud's and Lacan's theories concerning the notion of loneliness.
