FEUERSCHUETTE, Ana Paula; FRANCO, Renato Soileman e ROSSI, Miguelangelo. Assessment of User Satisfaction at a CAPS in a Southern Brazil Capital. Rev. Psicol. Saúde [online]. 2024, vol.16, e1652485. Epub 22-Jul-2024. ISSN 2177-093X. https://doi.org/10.20435/pssa.v15i1.2485.
Introduction:
Psychosocial Care Centers (CAPS) provide multiprofessional care and operate with an interdisciplinary, person-centered approach, involving the individual, their family, and the community. However, the service’s effectiveness depends on user engagement, making user satisfaction a crucial determinant.
Method:
This is a cross-sectional study that correlates the sociodemographic profile and user satisfaction in 13 centers in Curitiba, Paraná. Sociodemographic data were collected through a simple questionnaire, while user satisfaction was assessed using the Patient Satisfaction Evaluation Scale for Mental Health Services (SATIS-BR).
Results:
Out of 100 participants, 76% were male, aged between 18 and 78 years. Most were unemployed (76%), and over half (53%) had incomplete high school education. With a maximum score of 80%, users expressed satisfaction with the care provided by CAPS professionals. However, there is a need to improve the communication of therapeutic plans and the service’s infrastructure.
Conclusion:
User satisfaction is high, but investment in the physical structure and communication between the staff and patients is still necessary to enhance treatment efficiency.
