DOURADO, Amanda Dias; ZAMBRONI-DE-SOUZA, Paulo César e BOLIS, Ivan. The Relationship between the COVID-19 Pandemic and Mental Health Actions at Work. Rev. Psicol. Saúde [online]. 2024, vol.16, e1672490. Epub 22-Jul-2024. ISSN 2177-093X. https://doi.org/10.20435/pssa.v15i1.2490.
The aim of this article is to understand the perception of people management professionals concerning changes in mental health policies resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic period. Work Psychodynamics was taken as the main theoretical reference. The methodology used was a qualitative field study, with a non-experimental design and with a descriptive and exploratory character. Thirteen people management professionals from different parts of Brazil participated in this study. Individual and online interviews were carried out via the Google Meet platform, analyzed using thematic content analysis. The results show that online projects in mental health and initiatives to hire psychologists were introduced. However, the actions did not encourage the formation of deliberation spaces that would produce a collective capable of protecting workers’ mental health. In other words, the focus was only on developing legalistic actions to comply with legal norms.
