Family Health Multiprofessional Residents are strategic for the population primary care; however, they are exposed to stressors in the development of this activity. The aim of this research was to identify levels of occupational stress and associated factors in these residents in Campo Grande city. The study had a quantitative and qualitative approach, with 67 participants (from seven different professions) in the quantitative phase, being prevalent: female (88.1%), single (62.7%), without children (76.1%) and who use their own transport to go to work (67.2%). Of occupational stress, 46.3% had a severe level and 22.4% had a potentially dangerous level. In the qualitative phase, the 10 interviews pointed to three major themes: Self-Perception of Stress, Experience in the Multiprofessional Residency and Work Organization. The high program’s workload and the overload of practical activities were identified as triggering physical and emotional exhaustion. Continuing studies on this population can subsidize the improvement of the Programs, aiming for the Residents a better health and quality of life.
