CRUZ, Carolina Alves e BRANCO, Paulo Coelho Castelo. Social Isolation in Clients Attended in an Online Short-Term Gestalt Therapy: Qualitative Evaluation. Rev. Psicol. Saúde [online]. 2024, vol.16, e16322027. Epub 17-Fev-2025. ISSN 2177-093X. https://doi.org/10.20435/pssa.v16i1.2070.
From the context of quarantine arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, through a qualitative clinical research, this study aimed to evaluate the effects of a short-term online Gestalt-therapeutic practice in people with social isolation problems. Four participants were selected who underwent five consultations. After that, a semi-structured interview script was used to evaluate the therapeutic process from the clients’ perceptions. The results were discussed according to content analysis, obtaining the following axes: social isolation experience understanding; online attendance experience; intervention’s effects. It is concluded that Gestalt-Therapy proved to be a health care strategy that produced positive effects on clients, in the sense of allowing them to have contact with the social isolation experience, in order to (re)elaborate it and (re)position in front of her, in a more appropriate and creative way.
