AZZI, Roberta Gurgel; LIMA, Elias; ARAUJO, Emanuelly and CORREA, Warley Guilger. Aggressive relationships between high school students analyzed using the social aggression model. Psicol. Ensino & Form. [online]. 2015, vol.6, n.1, pp.121-138. ISSN 2177-2061.
This article refers to a survey on the presence of aggressive relationships between high school students, from the social aggression model of Underwood (2003), in the Brazilian context. To find out scientific research on aggression between pairs of students in the school context, specifically in high school, a survey of articles published in Brazilian journals was conducted, using the following keywords: peer violence, school violence and bullying. The survey gathered 474 articles, of which only 15 alluded to high school, and only 05 met the criteria of empirical studies, Brazilian context and violence between pairs restricted to the school environment. In the selected articles there were indications of direct social aggression through the manipulation of relationships, spreading rumors, and direct verbal social exclusion, with no signs of indirect social aggression in any of its various forms. Even though the selected articles have not characterized the aggression from the reading of Underwood's (2003) model of social aggression, this survey signals its presence in the school context, and indicates the need for research that addresses this model to better understand school violence.
Keywords : Social Aggression; school violence; peer violence; high school.
