The primary health care in Brazil, mainly Community health workers (CHW) act in an specific area and work daily with complex family and social situations, between them, the community violence. To face the new health demands are needed new working tecnologies and the bond have been a tool for guide the CHW work. The study aim to understand the CHW's representations about the relationship of the working area and building bonds with the patients. To get the objective was made a qualitative research with semi-structured interviews with 12 CHW from a primary health care. The CHW belief that their territory is violent, especially because of the drug trafficking, assaults and funk parties. The CHW understand the bond as a good experience, affective and therapeutic with these characteristics: confidentiality, trust, caution and credibility. The results show that the work of the CHW is influenced by the relational competencies constructed in the area, and the community violence is a phenomenon that affects the creation of bonds.
