This article examines the issue of bureaucracy, considered as an indifference policy through the metaphor of the machine and the anonymity as referential of the social bond in this speech. It also emphasizes the contemporary bureaucratic characteristics, typical from modern capitalist States, emphasizing the bureaucracy in the Brazilian public service that mixes indifference, disrespect knack and cronyism. Points to the need for defiling the bureaucracy, paying attention to the not bureaucratize remains, ie, stresses the importance of a singled, handmade, which does not suspend the ability to think and strengthen the public space.
