That is a review of the book Žižek in the clinic: a revolutionary proposal for a new endgame in psychoterapy. Its author, Eliot Rosenstock, considers that the precepts of current capitalism and the logic of the market shape clinical behavioral practices and generate the psychotherapy industry. As a reaction, the author proposes the psychoeducation strategy, from the contributions that Slavoj Žižek brings to psychoanalysis. The intention would be to de-alienate the contemporary subject subordinated to the neoliberal model and to dismantle the psychotherapeutic propositions consistent with it. The book invites critical reflection on clinical renewals induced by our political and economic context.
