Abstract

SILVA, Anniele Rosinski da  and  ZAPPE, Jana Gonçalves. Psychoanalysis in the Domestic Violence Court: The History of Women. Rev. Subj. [online]. 2022, vol.22, n.3, e12739.  Epub Nov 22, 2024. ISSN 2359-0769.  https://doi.org/10.5020/23590777.rs.v22i3.e12739.

This article presents the results of a survey that sought to listen to the narrative of women who suffered domestic violence and used legal means to obtain State protection. Three women with an ongoing process in a domestic violence court located in a city in the central region of Rio Grande do Sul participated in the research, whose life stories were accessed through individual interviews and subsequently analyzed from the psychoanalytic theory. The results allowed us to understand what these women meant, what position they occupied in the face of the violence they suffered, and what responsibilities they assumed as subjects of their own experiences. In conclusion, women need to be able to report, reflect and reframe their experiences so that the subjective changes necessary for coping with situations of domestic violence are produced.

Keywords : psychoanalysis; gender violence; public policies; domestic violence.
