Desidades is an electronic scientific journal in the area of childhood and youth, published quarterly in Portuguese or Spanish by the Centre of Interdisciplinary Studies on Contemporary Childhood and Adolescence, NIPIAC, of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. It aims at disseminating scientific research beyond academic circuits and establishing dialogue with researchers, professional, students and other public interested in childhood and youth studies. The journal publishes original manuscripts - articles, interviews and book reviews - from a multidisciplinary perspective on childhood and youth.
