Gerais: The Interinstitucional journal of Psycology is an online journal, published three times a year by the federal universities of the Minas Gerais State, with undergraduate/postgraduate in Psychology-Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Universidade Federal de São João del-Rei and Universidade Federal de Uberlândia.

The Journal is intended for researchers and professionals in Psychology and related fields. The aim of the journal is to promote and debate the advances in the field of Psychology. It publishes original works with up to 25 pages. It publishes original works with up to 25 pages, in the form of: Research reports, Essays, Literature reviews and Experience reports.

The articles submitted to Gerais must be new, not have been previously published, neither being simultaneously submitted to other journals and/ or for publication in other vehicles.

Submitted manuscripts will be assigned by our Scietific Editor-in-chief to one of the Associate Editors for assessment. If the article is not in accordance with the "Instructions to Authors", it does not fit the focus and scope of the journal or it is not one of the types of contributions described in "Guidelines for Authors", it may be rejected at this stage. After this stage, the Associate Editor will forward the submitted article to two reviewers, members of the Editorial Board and / or external reviewers, whose evaluations will be subsequently, and anonymously, passed on to the authors.

The peer review process uses a blind review system, which preserves the identity of the authors and reviewers.

Articles can be evaluated as "Accepted without modifications", "Accepted with modifications" or "Not accepted for publication". Articles evaluated as "Accepted with modifications" must be presented by the authors in a new version within one month from the submission of the required amends.

The Editorial Committee reserves the right to make minor style or grammatical changes without consulting the authors. As a generalist journal, Gerais receives submissions from the most different areas of Psychology and related fields and, due to the large number of articles received for evaluation, the time between submission and publication of the article has been greater than 02 (two) years.

The journal adopts a plagiarism detection tool. In case of identification of explicit similarity using the anti-plagiarism tool, the article will be removed from the evaluation process and filed.

If reviewers or editors raise suspicions or observe stage indicators, the article will be removed from the review process and filed.

If it is identified as plagiarism in an article already published, retraction will be carried out and the Editorial Board may remove the publication.

Gerais: Revista Interinstitucional de Psicologia is issued every four months. Publication is collective, that is, articles and other contributions will be published when the summary of a number of the journal is complete.

This journal offers immediate free access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public provides greater global democratization of knowledge.

This journal uses the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archival system among participating libraries and allows them to create permanent journal archives for preservation and restoration.
