The features of 499 children enrolled during the years of 1999 to 2006 were described, including variables such as gender, age, reason for referral, source of referral, type of assistance, and interruptions. It was verified that the children population occupied a total of 51.8% related to search for psychological assistance. The majority of the children were between 6 to 9 years of age (56.4%), mainly boys (67.3%). The places that referred most of the cases were schools (63.5 %).
