Abstract

FROTA, Silvana  and  PEREIRA, Liliane Desgualdo. Auditory processing: study in children with specific reading and writing deficits. Rev. psicopedag. [online]. 2010, vol.27, n.83, pp.214-222. ISSN 0103-8486.

PURPOSE: To assess the performance of children with specific reading and writing disorder in verbal and nonverbal auditory processing tests, and to compare it with children without specific reading and writing disorder. METHODS: Sixty children have undergone language and auditory processing tests. RESULTS: Performance analysis on the test battery revealed significant statistical differences. CONCLUSION: Auditory disabilities co-occured with specific reading and writing disorders.
