Abstract

AZAMBUJA, Sonia Curvo de. Letter to a young psychoanalyst. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2012, vol.46, n.1, pp.75-85. ISSN 0486-641X.

The author starts by speaking of the inspiration brought by the poet Rainer Marie Rilke. From this, she goes on to contextualize the matter of passion from which we are caught and unconsciously produce our vocations. Much like the poet, she speaks to the young analyst and to the path of development which, in her conception, is rooted in Oedipus. Exploring this issue, the author finds the construction of the psychic device itself, in which inside and out are implied (ideal ego and ego ideal). The author understands that there is invariance in the Oedipal issue, which is experienced historically by different cultures and suffers fluctuations, changes and slips, but remains basic in psychoanalysis and the analytical formation. After circling this matter, she presents Oedipus not as a defensive armor for our subjectivity, but as a game of dice, where moves occur with the unconscious imago, in a path that never is closed.

Keywords : passion; vocation; ideal ego/ego ideal; Oedipus; ethics; Clinamen; imperative categorical; anguish; solitude; identity; tragic.
