Abstract

MOGUILLANSKY, Rodolfo. Narcissism, common sense and otherness: the foundations of a psychoanalytic ethics. Rev. bras. psicanál [online]. 2014, vol.48, n.3, pp.105-124. ISSN 0486-641X.

This paper proposes a contribution to the “foundations of ethics from the point of view of psychoanalysis”, exposing that this theme implies, from a psychoanalytic perspective, a reflection on how we conceive narcissism, its vicissitudes and the avatars through which we transit in order to conceive others. To do this, the issue of the other and otherness is first explored through distinct perspectives, in order to, next, expose how, from the author's point of view, psychoanalysis proposes the conception of the other from an I who, initially, supposes himself to be self-sufficient.

Keywords : narcissism; ethics; otherness; other.
