Abstract

ROVINSKI, Sonia Liane Reichert; NASCIMENTO, Regina Sonia Gattas Fernandes do  and  SCORTEGAGNA, Silvana Alba. Reflex responses on the Rorschach and different levels of psychosocial adaptation. Aval. psicol. [online]. 2015, vol.14, n.2, pp.243-252. ISSN 1677-0471.

The present study aimed to investigate the dynamics of the psychological functioning of individuals with narcissistic traits that showed reflex responses to the Rorschach method, but with different levels of adaptation. Two men were evaluated, aged 28 and 44, with similar sociodemographic characteristics but with a differentiated history of social adaptation. Data were extracted from archival material of a judicial institution, whose evaluations were performed with different forensic purposes. The results show that to differentiate the adaptive level of reflex responses, it is necessary to take into account the variables of control and stress tolerance, the perceptual adjustment, the self-perception and interpersonal perception. We conclude on the importance of considering the integration of the variables from these clusters, the limitations for the description and predictability of behavior and the need for external references to confirm the clinical validity of the findings to the legal context

Keywords : forensic psychology; personality; projective measures of personality.
