Abstract

This article aims at understanding the relationship between School and the Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) trying to obtain knowledge from procedures that schools do by taking into account the amount of discussion with pedagogical personnel , parents and professionals from the health area. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews with seven professional from the pedagogical staff . One of the two schools is a public school from Santa Cruz do Sul and the other is a private one from Lajeado - both in Rio Grande do Sul. Through qualitative methodology and using contents analysis we emphasize the necessity for more information to be given to the schools professionals so they can feel more secure about the management of students affected by the disorder.
