We work on the different ways psychoanalysis may be practiced today, making use of the figures of "real say" or "free speech" (parrhesia) and "free speaker" (parrhesiastes) to discuss listening and speaking in the psychoanalytic setting (or analytic space), with its effects. If we want psychoanalysis to be a practice of freedom, we need to work on the different ways the analyst exerts his or her activity as a "free speaker".
